Wahiawa army wives awarded $6,000 scholarship

Two Army wives from Wahiawa have each received a $6,000 scholarship for Bryant & Stratton Online College Tuesday. Tiffany Hammet and Erin Roman will use the Salute to Spouses Scholarship to pursue an associate's degree in Medical Administration.

"As military spouses, they give so much in support of our troops, so we are honored to support them," said Scott Taylor, Associate Campus Director for Online Education at the online school.

The Salute to Spouses scholarship was launched in March 2010. To qualify, applicants must have a copy of their spouse's orders, a copy of their marriage certificate and a high school diploma.

The 155 year-old school offers four online bachelor's degrees, eleven online associate's degrees and ten online certificate programs in fields including business, criminal justice, healthcare, human resources, financial services and information technology.

Bryant & Stratton College offers scholarships for $600 a semester for part-time students and $1200 a semester for full-time. The maximum scholarship award is $6,000.
